Welcome & Seasons Greetings from Brown Chapel/Avant, Shiloh and Mt. Pleasant
Prayer: Rev. Pelton
Scripture: Isaiah 40:29-31 - He gives power to the faith; and to them that have no might he increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Subject: The Rewards for Waiting
- Waiting. Is a curse or a blessing?
- Waiting on the Lord. It's an easy task. But as believers we sometimes have impatience with God.
- All things work together for the good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
- Godly waiting requires action from us.
- While waiting, we must pray.
- Three things to remember: (1) be patient; We try to manipulate God to hurry (2) be trusting; God is in control and has our best interest in mind; & (3) be quiet; We should have quiet strength and have a calmness of spirit.
- Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
