Welcome to Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: Psalms 46:1-5 - God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble.  Therefore, we will not be afraid, though the earth trembles and the mountains topple into the depths of the seas, though its waters roars and foams and the mountains quake with its turmoil.  There is a river, its streams delight the city of God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High.  God is within her; she will not be toppled.  God will help her when the morning dawns.

Subject: True Believers Respond When the World Seems to be on Fire

  • We as Christians, have a crystal-clear path.
  • We are trained for this fire thru Jesus the Christ.
  • Fear seems to spread faster than facts.
  • Believers should be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord's work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58
  • We must respond with faith and not fear.
  • 2 Timothy 1:7 - God has not given us a spirit of fear but one of power, love and sound judgment.
  • We should run to God in all things.
  • Do not fool yourself about what is going on in this world.
  • In times of trouble, our God is a powerful help.
  • Our God is not surprised about what is happening here on earth.
  • God is watching for us to call on Him to ease our burdens.
  • Peace be still and know that I AM GOD. Psalms 46:10
  • Romans 8:35-39 - Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril. or sword? For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, not life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
