Who We Are In Christ (continued)
Psalm 139:1-4 - God knows our every thought even before we speak it.Colossians 2:13-14 - Before Christ,m we were dead because of sin. Then God made us alive by giving us His Son and through the blood of Christ we are delivered. God forgave all our sins and canceled the record.
John 1:12-13 But to all who believed in Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God.
Galatians 4:6-7 - We Gentiles are adopted children with guarantee of all rights.
1 Samuel 16:7 - Don't judge by the appearance or height, for I have rejected him (Eliab).
God looks at the heart.
Thought for Today:
Are you married to Christ or just dating on Sundays?
Morning Sermon
Luke 18:1-5
Subject: Being Persistent in Prayer
The widow, instead of worrying, prayed and took action and didn't give up.
Worry is a sin and fills up the mind with defeat.
Worry is the opposite of faith. It's like a rocking chair. You are in motion but getting nowhere.
Constant prayer works for the Christian. Jesus is our refuge.
Psalm 56:16-17 - David cried out constantly.
Hanna Prayed and prayed for a child (Samuel)
Pray and never doubt
James 1:5-6
Prayer is spiritual maintenance.
Isaiah 40:20-31

The Welcome and Occasion
by Rhonda Lawton
It is my pleasure and certainly an honor to welcome you on behalf of our Pastor, rev. James Baggett and his family and our Brown Chapel church family to this house of God, its comfort and peace.
We greatly appreciate your presence and support on this 56th Annual Homecoming occasion.
Let us all together exalt, extol and magnify the name of our Father and our God.
Occasion
Pulpit occupants, Homercomers, Visitors and Christian Friends:
In preparing for the traditional Occasion speech, I pondered for several day on what to say for this 2012 Homecoming and asked God for guidance. And as we all know, God never fails us.
Homecoming and home-going scrambled around in my mind as I was shopping the other day. Homecoming is of course, for the church, a gathering of family, friends and all the communities; the sharing of warm memories and laughter.
Home-going is our anticipation of going to our reward through acceptance, obedience and faith in God.
I found myself int he electronics isle and picked up a pair of earplugs and was immediately struck with an idea for the Occasion.
"Sealed"
How many of us have purchased something in that similar packaging, got it home and with great difficulty, removed the object we'd purchased? This covering is nearly impenetrable without scissors.
Then I thought of God's seal on us which cannot be removed my anything man-made.
2 Corinthians 1:21-22
"Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. The anointed us set His seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."
So we are sealed with he Holy Spirit, covered with the Whole Armor of God spreading the Good news as we await or home-going.
Keep that in your hearts and minds today and always. We are sealed!
