January 25, 2009, the Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church family gathered for a special dedication service for the expansion of our Fellowship Hall. Presiding Elder James W. Ford and wife Mrs. Virginia Ann Ford were present to conduct the proceedings and join in the celebration.

Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church
Direct us, O Lord, in all our doings, with Thy most gracious favor, and further us with Thy continual help, that in all our works, begun, continued and ended in Thee, we may glorify Thy Holy name, and finally, by Thy mercy, obtain everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Presiding Elder: In the Name of the Father, Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we dedicate Brown Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church to the glory of God, and the service of His Kingdom and the human family. Amen
People: Amen, Amen, Amen.
Presiding Elder: For the worship of God in prayer and praise;
For the preaching of the everlasting gospel;
For the celebration of this Holy Sacraments;
People: We dedicate this house.
Presiding Elder: For the comfort of those who mourn;
For strength to those who art tempted;
For light to those who seek The way;
People: We dedicate this house.
Presiding Elder: For the hallowing of family life;
For teaching and guiding the young;
For the perfecting of the saints;
People: We dedicate this house.
Presiding Elder: For the conversion of sinners;
For the promotion of righteousness;
For the extension of the kingdom of God;
People: We dedicate this house.
Presiding Elder: In gratitude for the labors of all who love and serve the church;
In loving remembrance of those who have finished their course;
In the hope of a blessed immortality through Jesus Christ our Lord
People: We dedicate this house.
Presiding Elder: Beloved, we have now set apart this place to be none other than the place where God lives, the awesome entrance to heaven; however, such a dedication is in vain without the solemn consecration of those whose gifts are herein represented; let us now give ourselves anew to the service of God, that the fruits of our labor may tend to the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom.
People: We dedicate ourselves anew to the worship of Almighty God; The service of human kind, in obedience to the commission of Our Lord, who sent us into the world to be His witnesses. Amen.
