Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant, Shiloh and Mt. Pleasant

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

Subject: The Sovereignty of God

  • And we know that all things work together for the good.
  • Having absolute power, that is God's sovereignty.
  • God does work things for our good.
  • Beneficial to God is good for us.
  • God has the knowledge and power to do his will.
  • God protects us each day.  Psalms 34:7 - The Lord's angel camps around the Lord's loyal followers and delivers them.
  • God has control over our future. God sees far down the road!  He has a plan for us.
  • We, as Christians are able to walk free of fear, depression, anxiety, etc. through God's sovereignty.
  • We have the blessed assurance of Jesus.

October 11, 2020

Greetings from Brown Chapel/Avant, Shiloh and Mt. Pleasant!

Today would have been our annual Homecoming Service but due to Covid-19, we cancelled this year's event. However, we are very grateful to everyone for your support to the Homecoming fund and the Cemetery fund.

Prayer: Minister Dorothy Malone

Scripture: Psalms 103:19-22 - The Lord has established his throne in heaven; his kingdom extends over everything.  Praise the Lord, you angels of his you powerful warriors who carry out his decrees and obey his orders?  Praise the Lord, all you warriors of his , your servants of his who carry out his desires! Praise the Lord, all that he has made, in all the regions of his kingdom! Praise the Lord, O my soul!

Subject: The Sovereignty of God

  • God gave us free will and one commandment: Do not eat from a certain tree.
  • Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to those who are the called according to His purpose.
  • We must be born again in order to please God.
  • Satan does everything he can to divert our attention from God.
  • What must we do?: We must trust in God's supreme power.
  • Job 42:2 - I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
  • Ephesians 1:11- In Him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who words all things according to the counsel of His will....
