Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant & Mt. Pleasant
Prayer: Rev. I. Pelton
Scripture: Mark 4:35-41 -And the same day, when the evening was come, he said to them, "Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the stern part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awaken him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?: And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, "What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"
Subject: Dealing With The Storms of Life
- How we deal with the storms of life
- The storms of life are going to come whether spiritual or physical but we should have faith in Jesus.
- Recognize that the storms happen for (1) a test (2) a trial or (3) a temptation
- It is also a victory for Almighty God if we stay focus on Him.
- Don't lose focus on Jesus as Satan would want us to.
- Don't forget to remember...to have faith in Jesus
- A storm will gather and linger but Jesus is with us and the storm will pass.
- Jesus will always remain with us.
- God is Omniscient, Onmipotent & Omnipresent
- And we know that Jesus is Emmanuel - God with us!
