Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant, Shiloh & Mt. Pleasant
Prayer: Rev. Pelton
Scripture: Genesis 3:17-19 -But to Adam he said, "Because you obeyed your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat from it,' cursed is the ground thanks to you; in painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, but you will eat the grain of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat food until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you will return."
Subject: The Reason for Our Labor
- God created the heavens and the earth.
- Genesis 1:27 - God created humankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them.
- Man will continue to labor until Jesus comes back because of our disobedience.
- There will be terrible time in the end days.
- 2 Timothy 3:1-5 - But understand this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, opposed to what is good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, loving pleasure rather that loving God. They will maintain the outward appearance of religion but will have repudiated its power. So avoid people like these.
- Our labor is because of sin.
- Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
