Scripture: Psalm 27:14 - Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Subject: The Prerequisite of Waiting

• God's ways are not our ways
• Four precepts of waiting: (1) We must have faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6  (2) Our faith cannot function without a spirit of humility. (3) Be patient. It is a learned ability.  Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10  (4) We should have courage. We must be strong in the Lord and the power of his might.
• We need to put on the whole armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-18
