Romans 3:1-31 God Remains Faithful

  • Everyone stands guilty before God.
  • No one will be exempt from God's judgment of sin.
  • The law condemns us but the law is not the basis of our hope. God, Himself, is.
  • God, in His righteousness and wonderful love, offers us eternal life.
  • Salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ. We cannnot earn it. It is given freely, a gift from our heavenly Father.

Sermon
Psalm 11:1-7 - v1 I have taken refuge in the Lord. How can you say to me, "Escape to the mountain like a bird! v2 For look, the wicked string the bowstring to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart. v3 When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?" v4 The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven. His eyes watch; He examines everyone. v5 The Lord examines the righteouse and the wicked. He hates the lover of violence. v6 He will rain burning coals and sulfur on the wicked; a scorching wind will be their portion. v7 For the Lord is righteous; His love righteousw deeds. The upright will see His face.

Subject: "Trusting God In Tough Times"

  • God's rule provides stability in the midst of panic. Because we can trust Him, we can face our problems.
  • David had unshakable faith in God.
  • There is hope in trusting God.
  • Faith in God keeps us from losing hope and helps us resist fear.
  • God is still in control.
  • David trusted in God, who was his refuge, leaning not on his or our own understanding.
  • David kenw where his security lay - in God. David's eye was on God. He placed his trust in God who is able to do what no other could do.
  • What, then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  Romans 8:31
  • Our hope is built on nothing less. On Christ the solid rock I stand.
  • I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 3:14
  • Our security is not in ADT but in GOD!
