Sunday School
Romans 2:1-29

  • There is no defense against judging others.
  • God is kind, tolerant and patient with us.
  • We are storing up terrible punishment for ourselves when we judge others.
  • Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received a full knowledge of the truth, there is no other sacrifice that will cover these  sins.  There will be   nothing to look   forward to but the terrible expectation of God's judgment and  the raging  fire that will consume His  enemies. Hebrews 10:29-30
  • God shows no partiality  to anyone.
Sermon
2 Chronicles 7:14 - Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.
Subject: "Perilous Times"
  • We must be humble before God.
  • We must pray.
  • We must turn from our wicked ways.
  • We must seek God's face.
  • The truth will set us free.
  • From 2 Chronicles 6, Solomon asked God to make provisions for the people's sins. God answered with four conditions for forgiveness: (1) Humble yourself by admitting your sins, (2) pray to God, asking for forgiveness, (3) seek God continually, and (4) turn from sinful behavior.
  • True repentance is more than talk, it is changed behavior.
  • Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14
  •  Love the Lord, your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and , 'Love your neighbor as yourself." "Do this and you will live."   Luke 10:27-28
  • And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.1 Corinthians 13:13
