Sunday School
Philippians 4:1-23
Joy in Giving

  • Christians suffer persecution
  • Whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, or being of any praise.... think on these things
  • Be content
  • I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
  • God will supply all your needs if you have done and are doing the things that are well-pleasing to God (Verses 17-18)

Sermon
Luke 5:1-5
Subject: How To Turn Your Failure Into Success

  • Invite Jesus into your life
  • If you have no vision, you will perish
  • Ref. from Numbers 14:5-9 - have a good report, because if God be with you, the whole world cannot stand against you
  • Admit your shortcomings
  • Jesus is the way, the truth and the life
  • We need a partnership with Jesus
  • We need to obey God because obedience is better than sacrifice
  • Trust Jesus and believe in Him
  • Ref. from Luke 6:38 - Give and it shall be given unto to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over
Three "Cs" to Deal With a Situation

  1. Take control of the situation
  2. Make a commitment
  3. Don't run away from a challenge
