Welcome to Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Founders Day for the AME Church

Richard & Sarah Allen, Founders

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: Ephesians 5:15-16 - Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk no as unwise people but as wise making the most of the time because the days are evil.

Subject:  The Day and the Time

  • We should be full of God's holy spirit.
  • These days are evil.
  • Time is a precious thing.
  • Don't wait too long because it is running out.
  • God offers us time to pray, to obey, to love, to forgive, etc.
  • Don't allow your time to run out.
  • God is good and worthy to be praised.
  • We must redeem our precious time because we can't rewind it and go back.
  • Start living for the glory of God.
  • Don't waste time with & worry on small daily things. Having a relationship with God is very important.
  • What does God expect of me?  He wants us to take control of our time and be intention and focus on that straight road.
  • The world doesn't help us choose wisely. The world shows us shiny things to distract us from God's plan for us.
  • Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your heart as in rebellion on the day of testing in the wilderness. Hebrews 3:7-8
  • If I can help somebody as I journey, then my living will not be in vain.
  • Be careful about how you walk in the sight of the Lord.
  • Make good use of our time here on earth.
