Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh
Prayer: Pastor Baggett
Scripture: Acts 2:1-4 - And when the day of Pentecost was come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like the rushing of a violent wind, and all the house where they were was full of it. And they saw tongues, like flames of fire, coming to rest on every one of them. And they were all full of the Holy Spirit, and were talking in different languages, as the Spirit gave them power.
Subject: The Significance of the day of Pentecost and the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit
- The celebration of Christ's new church is Pentecost. Fifty days after the resurrection.
- A time of harvest.
- Pentecost was a time to reset.
- We need a spiritual reset.
- Pentecost is a divine invitation to live a spirit filled life. The Holy Spirit released into the people.
- The Holy Spirit was promised by God Himself.
- Whosoever will, may come.
- The Holy Spirit is a gift and not a reward.
- The Spirit will abide in us.
- We are effective witnesses empowered by the Holy Spirit.
- We need the power, presence and the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
- The Holy Spirit unites the body of Christ.
