Greetings from Brown Chapel/Avant; Shiloh Baptist
and Mt. Pleasant Baptist
Prayer by Pastor Baggett
This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice in it!
Scripture: Acts 11:26 - And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught must people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.Text: What It Means To Be A Christian
- Matthew 7:21-23 - Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the kingdom of heaven - only the one who does the will of my father in heaven. On that day, many will say to me, "Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons and do many powerful deeds?' Then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you. Go away from me, you lawbreakers!'
- We must receive Jesus Christ into out lives - 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
- Except you repent, you will pass away. Colossians 2:6-7 - Sine you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with Him. Keep your roots deep in Him, build your lives on Him, and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving.
- We must resemble Christ. Forgiveness is one of the qualities of Christ. (Remember the story of the Good Samaritan Luke 10:25-37)
- We shall reign with Christ. 2 Timothy 2:12 - If we endure, we will also reign with Him. If we disown Him, He will also disown us....
