Scripture: 2 Corinthians 10:1-5 - Now I, Paul appeal to you personally by the meekness and gentleness of Christ (I who am meek when present among you, but am full of courage toward you when away!) now I ask that when I am present I may not have to be bold with the confidence that (I expect) I will dare to use against some who consider us to be behaving according to human standards. For though we live as human beings, we do not wage war according to human standards, for the weapons of our warfare are not human weapons, but are made powerful by God for tearing down strongholds. We tear down arguments and every arrogant obstacle that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to make it obey Christ.
Subject: Living In The Land of Giants
- For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
- John 15:18 - if the world hates you it hated me first.
- We are not to hide in a tent like Saul did, but meet trouble head on as David did.
- Take the battle to the enemy.
- God has called us to pull down strongholds.
- Deceptive things in this day and time: The Big Lie; The Conspiracy Theory
- Against the knowledge and power of God is unacceptable.
- We must arm ourselves with the proper weapons: Our weapons are not of this world
- We must fight God's battle God's way.
- We come with the Word of God.
- Read 1 Samuel 17:45-46 -
45But David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand. This day I will strike you down, cut off your head, and give the carcasses of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the creatures of the earth. Then the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.…
