Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant & Mt. Pleasant

Prayer: Rev. Pelton

Scripture: Psalm 46:1 - God is our strong refuge; he is truly our helper in times of trouble

Subject: How The Lord Helped His People

  • Help.....I need somebody.....Beatles song
  • God is our help.
  • God helps us to communicate with Him through prayer.
  • Fervent prayer
  • God is who he says he is and he can do what he says he can do.
  • He should pray and not faint.
  • Ought - duty to do something.
  • God promises us things.
  • Promises: He will strengthen us, give us rest, supply all our needs, etc.
  • John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives. Do not let  your hearts be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
  • Providential power......And we know that all things work together for the good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. - Romans 8:28
  • God will assist us through everything.
