Scripture: Numbers 14:1-4 - And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night. And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, 'Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! And wherefore hath the Lord brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt? And they said one to another, 'Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.'
Subject: Are You Sure You Want To Go Back?
- For God did not give us a Spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7
- I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
- The Call; The Commitment; The Courage
- God has a plan for us which is salvation - the call
- Commitment is the dedicated choice.
- We must commit ourselves to Christ.
- If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
- We need to have courage to..... Philippians 3:14 - I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
- Finally remember, the battle is not ours but God's.
- And also remember, the victory is already won. 1 John 4:4 - But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
