Welcome to Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: 1 Peter 2:9-10 - But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.  You once were not a people, but now you are God's people.  You were shown no mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Subject: The Shift - Part 3

  • Obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15:22
  • If you find yourself going down the wrong path, make a shift or change to God's path.
  • Our God has all power. We must remember this in all situations.
  • Jesus walked among the common people.
  • Jesus came to appeal to the masses of people.
  • Jesus believes in forgiveness and truth. He believes in salt and light.
  • Being a chosen people, the following are some things to think about.
  • The kingdom of God is our focus.
  • Seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
  • We must be discerning in this world of today.
  • We must put on the whole armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-18
  • Be kind to the most vulnerable.
  • Use your light to shine positively, lovingly, kindly, in the name of Jesus Christ!
