Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

We beg your indulgence once again on this 3rd Sunday. We ask for your prayers because we know that pray is a powerful weapon.

In times of need, such as healing, encouragement, weakness, etc., take comfort in the following:

  • Jeremiah 17:14 - Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me and I shall be saved, for You are my praise.
  • 3 John 1:2 - Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
  • Psalm 41:3 - The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness.
  • 2 Corinthians 12:9 - My grace is all you need, for my power is the greatest when you are weak.
  • Psalm 73:26 - My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my portion forever.
  • Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
  • James 5:14-16 - Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.  Ans the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
  • Philippians 4:6-7 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

May one, some or all of these verses comfort and keep you on this Sunday and throughout your daily living.
