Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: 1 Peter 5:6-7 - For this cause make yourselves low under the strong hand of God, so that when the time comes you may be lifted up; Putting all your troubles on him, for he takes care of you.

Subject: A God Who Cares

  • Have you found yourselves stressing over things that aren't in your control?
  • No matter the situation, we could give these things to God. In other words, take it to the Lord in prayer.
  • Peter reminds us that we are being kept by a God who cares.
  • We can't fix anything by ourselves. But God can fix anything. What a mighty God we serve.
  • Our God never sleeps or slumbers. Psalm 121:4
  • Worry is unnecessary. We have our Lord to pray to.
  • We are dealing with spiritual wickedness in high places. (Satan) Ephesians 6:12
  • Be sobor, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walking about, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 4:8
  • We must be prepared at all times.
  • Satan comes to us in many disguises. So be ready and aware.
  • We must put on the whole armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-18
  • For the battle is not ours, it's God's.
  • Jesus is coming back for His church without spot or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.  Ephesians 5:27
