Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: 2 Chronicles 20:15-17 - And he said, Give ear, O Judah, and you people of Jerusalem, and you King Jehoshaphat: the Lord says to you, Have no fear and do not be troubled on account of this great army; for the fight is not yours but God's.  Go down against them tomorrow: see, they are coming up by the slope of Ziz/ at the end of the valley, before the waste land of Jeruel, you will come face to face with them.  There will be no need for you to take up arms in this fight; put yourselves in position, and keep where you are, and you will see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: have no fear and do not be troubled: go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you.

Subject: God Will Take Care of You

  • The king Jehoshaphat was surrounded by the enemy.
  • The best weapon that Christians can use is prayer.
  • Just a little talk with Jesus will ease our sufferings.
  • Be not dismayed whatever is going on, God will take care of you.
  • There are certain things that we must do for God to reveal what He can do.
  • Position ourselves to be blessed by God.
  • God tells us to continue on as if our enemies don't even exist.
  • Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
  • Faith without works is dead. James 2:17
  • Stand still.
  • Psalm 110:1 - The Lord said to my lord, Be seated at my right hand, till I put all those who are against you, your footstool.
  • For they that wait upon the Lord
  • We will see His salvation. In other words, watch what God can do. Remember Job's trial or Daniel in the lion's den. Just two examples of what God can do.
