Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant & Mt. Pleasant
Prayer: Pastor Baggett
Scripture: Matthew 22:34-40 - But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Subject: Wake Up Everybody
- Being "woke" in this day and age, has taken on a whole new meaning and has been misinterpreted.
- We must do unto others has you would have them do unto you. Luke 6:31
- Love is the answer to all the confusion.
- Why can't we get along? Pride, jealousy, racism, selfishness, greed
- We need to remember the Fruit of the Spirit: *But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23
- Even when folks are unkind, we must hold fast to our faith and look upon those who are unkind using our own loving eyes.
- Wake up everybody to God's love for us so that we might pass that love to others.
