Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant & Mt. Pleasant
Prayer: Rev. Pelton
Scripture: Revelation 21:1-5 - And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Subject: Five Things To Consider of the New Year
- We always made resolutions for New Year.
- Question? Do you like good music? We need to sing to the Lord a new song. God's love and grace, mercy, are all we need.
- Let us consider a new heart. Ezekiel 36:26 - I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh.
- A new spirit, God has promised us.
- Jeremiah 31:31 - Behold, the days come, said the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah.
- We should consider a name change. Revelation 2:17 - The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will give him some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on that stone will be written a new name that no one can understand except the one who receives it.
- If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17
