Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant & Mt. Pleasant
Prayer: Rev. Pelton
Scripture: Acts 2:42 - And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Subject: The Importance of Christian Fellowship
- Fellowship in Christian beliefs
- The awesome power of the Holy Spirit had already manifested at the day of Pentecost.
- Fellowship is important in the Christian faith.
- We are to show the aspects of God through fellowship.
- We have been given specific talents and must share them as we travel this Christian journey.
- Manifest and exemplify the glory of God through fellowship.
- We must not lose heart; we must pray and fellowship with one another to renew our strength.
- It is God who makes us strong.
- Hebrews 10:23-25 - 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
- Fellowship helps us to grow, to teach others to learn how to walk in God's footsteps.
- Romans 8: 35-39 -Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written, “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[a]37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
