Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant and Mt. Pleasant

Prayer: Rev. Pelton

Scripture: Mark 11:22-24 - Jesus said to them, "Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, if someone says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.  For this reason I tell you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Subject: A Mountain Moving God

  • All of us, at some time or another, has had to face a mountain in our lives, no matter your status.
  • We serve a mountain moving God because He bigger than anything we face.
  • God is speaking about the mountains that occur in our daily lives: debt, illness, hardship, depression, pride, jealousy, etc.  Anything that keeps us from pressing from the high mark
  • John 14:1 - Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me.
  • What a mighty God we serve.
  • It we trust and never doubt, He will surely bring us out.
  • Psalm 37:3-5 - Trust in the Lord and do what is right! Settle in the land and maintain your integrity! Then you will take delight in the Lord, and he will answer your prayers.  Commit your future to the Lord! Trust in him, and he will act on your behalf.
  • Don't get your life clogged up so much so that you forget whose you are and who has forgiven you.
  • Mark 11:25 - An when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
  • God works in his own time so continue to pray.
  • We must study to show ourselves approved unto God. 2 Timothy 2:15
  • Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to this purpose.
  • God's grace is sufficient.  2 Corinthians 12:9
  • Examples of God's grace and mighty power: Joseph, Job, Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego.... all and more who God brought out of a tough situation.
