Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant & Mt. Pleasant

Prayer: Rev. Pelton

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Subject: A New Beginning

  • Christ is our source of a new beginning
  • Revelation 21:5-6 - And the one seated on the throne said: "Look! I am making all things new!" Then he said to me, "Write it down, because these words are reliable and true."  He also said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end......
  • Ephesians 2:10 - For we are his workmanship, having been created in
  • Ezekiel 36:26-27 - I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh.  I will put my Spirit within you; I will take the initiative and you will obey my statutes and carefully observe my regulations.
  • We are born into the family of God; we receive a new attitude in the family of God; our evil desires are replaced with a divine nature; & receive a new strength.
  • Isaiah 40:28-31 - Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is an eternal God, the creator of the whole earth. He does not get tired or weary; there is no limit to his wisdom.  He gives strength to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed energy.  Even youths get tired and weary; even strong young men clumsily stumble.  But those who wait for the Lord's help find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles' wings, they run without growing weary, they walk without fainting.
  • Everyday with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.
