Israel Rejects The Gospel of Salvation Through Jesus Christ
  •
  • The lack of knowledge is reflected in the fact that they are ignorant of God's righteousness, and wanted to establish their own righteousness.
  • People cannot come to Jesus without the right information about the gospel. However information alone is not enough to save anyone. There must be an extreme submission of God, as one puts away ones' own righteousness.
  • Jesus is the end of the law for those who believe.
  • The righteousness of faith is based on Jesus.
  • We do not have to work for faith.
  • The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.
  • How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace.
  • Beautiful feet may prefer to the partnership with God for the salvation of mankind. The feet speaks to activity, motion and progress in the working of preaching.
  • Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Sermon
Job 7:20 - I have sinned; what shall I do unto thee, O thou preserver of men? why hast thou set me as a mark against thee, so that I am a burden to myself?

  • Sometimes we take God for granted.
  • God made us, not we ourselves.
  • God is God all by Himself.
  • Adversity and hardship can get our attention.
  • We are driven to God with words like these, "Why me Lord!"

Adversity causes us ......
  • Draw near to God
  • Draw us to others so that we become a springboard for/to others
  • To give God the glory.
  • To conquer our pride and become humble.
  • Prepares us for service to God.
  • Draws us to our best selves. Have you been tried in the fire?
  • Allows us to grow.
  • To surrender to God's will.
