October 10, 2010
Sunday School
1 Corinthians 13:1-13
Love is the Greatest of all that will endure along with faith and hope.
We are to love everyone, even our enemies because God loves us, so much so that He sent His Son that we may have everlasting life.
Love is the key!

Morning Sermon
Herbrews 11:6-10
Subject: The Risk Taking Church

Where there is no vision everything dies.
3 types of Churches
  1. The Undertaking Church = always looking back; what has worked in the past; poor vision ruins your blessings; does not adapt to situations.
  2. The Care-taking Church = always looking at the pressing issues taking place now (the present); not really caring about the future only the business at hand.
  3. The Risk-taking Church = looking toward the future; the days are yet to come; on the cutting edge and not afraid to fail.

Then Jesus gave them this illustration: "No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and uses it to patch an old garment. For then the new garment would be torn, and the patch wouldn't even match the old garment. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. The new wine would burst the old skins, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine must be put into new wineskins. But no one who drinks the old wine seems to want the fresh and the new.  'The old is better,' they say."
