June 21, 2026 - Happy Father's Day & Summer Solstice

Welcome to Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: Ezekiel 22:30 - And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Subject: Looking for a Few Good Men

  • Corruption was everywhere as it is nowadays.

  • Truth is being totally ignored even in this day and age.

  • God was and is looking for a man to stand up.

  • What kind of man is God looking for?

  • When one person takes a stand such as David, Moses, Noah, and nowadays, Richard Allen, Dr. Opal Lee, Dr. Martin Luther King, Presidents John F. Kennedy & Barak Obama...
A real man does not hide from responsibility.
  • God is looking for a man who would build up a hedge to protect families, the children, their neighbors spiritually.
God is looking for us to be present.
  • What is the gap? It is a space in the hedge. And if there is a gap, someone must guard it which can be a dangerous job. But a true leader will serve, sacrifice, be steadfast, service minded in the Lord & His Word.
Jesus is our example of standing in the gap of the hedge. So stand strong for we know that Jesus is on our side.

May 24, 2026 - Happy Memorial Day to All Veterans

Welcome to Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: Ezekiel 34:11-24 - 11 “‘For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. 12 As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness. 13 I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land. 14 I will tend them in a good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel will be their grazing land. There they will lie down in good grazing land, and there they will feed in a rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. 15 I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign Lord. 16 I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice.

17 “‘As for you, my flock, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will judge between one sheep and another, and between rams and goats. 18 Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also trample the rest of your pasture with your feet? Is it not enough for you to drink clear water? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet? 19 Must my flock feed on what you have trampled and drink what you have muddied with your feet?

20 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says to them: See, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep. 21 Because you shove with flank and shoulder, butting all the weak sheep with your horns until you have driven them away, 22 I will save my flock, and they will no longer be plundered. I will judge between one sheep and another. 23 I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd. 24 I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David will be prince among them. I the Lord have spoken.

Subject: When God Has to Step In

  • Jesus is the good shepherd.
  • There are people in authority who do not care for others, from big business and in churches.
  • Some shepherds tend to take care of themselves rather than caring for the flock.
  • But God said that He, Himself for step in and search for His people.
  • Many are called but few are chosen.
  • We must step in to help one another because we as Christians, are God's helpers.
  • To God be the glory.
  • We must gather the scattered sheep, the lost ones.
  • Our God sits high and looks low.
  • God does not abandon us.
  • God's love can and will lift us up.

Welcome to Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: Ezekiel 18:23-30 -

24But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

25Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

26When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and die in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.

27Again, when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

28Because he consider, and turned away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

29Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?

30Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, everyone according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

Subject: Will the Real Children of God Please Stand Up

  • God is talking to His people, not outsiders.
  • Power without accountability will always turn towards corruption.
  • We may be confused but God is not confused about the corruption in this world.
  • There is spiritual wickedness all around us.
  • We must study ourselves to be approved.
  • We must be diligent in the Word not just knowledgeable.
  • We shall know the truth and the truth will make us free. John 8:32
  • What the devil means for bad, God will turn it for good.
  • Jesus stands between sin and salvation. Only Jesus!

Welcome to Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: Ezekiel 33:7-11 - So you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the children of Israel; and you are to give ear to the word of my mouth and give them news from me of their danger.  When I say to the evil-doer, Death will certainly overtake you; and you say nothing to make clear to the evil-doer the danger of his way; death will overtake that evil man in his evil-doing, but I will make you responsible for his blood.  But if you make clear to the evil-doer the danger of his way for the purpose of turning hm from it, and he is not turned from his way, death will overtake him in his evil-doing, but your life will be safe.  And you, son of man, say to the children of Israel, You say, Our wrongdoing and our sins are on us and we are wasting away in them; how then may we have life?  Say to them, By my life, says the Lord, I have no pleasure in the death of the evil-doer; it is more pleasing to me if he is turned from his way and his life: be turned, be turned from your evil ways; why are you looking for death O children of Israel?

Subject: I Have Made You a Watchman for Your House

  • We are to work out our own soul salvation.
  • We are to be obedient to the Word of God.
  • Faith without works is dead.
  • Our responsibilities - to listen to the Word of God; To sound the alarm of any impending danger.
  • Minister to others
  • Do this is a spirit of compassion.
  • A watchman is to be alert at all times for the enemy by keeping the eyes and ears open.
  • Send out the alarm to the people that danger is near. That is our job as Christians, to compassionate guide and
  • Matthew 23:33 - You serpents, you generation of vipers! How can you escape the damnation of hell?
  • Ephesians 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
  • Hebrews 3:15 The day that you hear my voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant, Shiloh & Mt. Pleasant

Prayer: Rev. Pelton

Scripture: Ezekiel 37:1-5 - The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and placed me in the midst of the valley, and it was full of bones. He made me walk all around among them. I realized there were a great many bones in the valley and they were very dry. He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" I said to him, "Sovereign Lord, you know." Then he said to me, "Prophesy over these bones, and tell them: 'Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.  This is what the sovereign Lord says to these bones: Look, I am about to infuse breath into you and you will live.

Subject: Can These Bones Live?

  • Why does God take us to strange places? The answer is simple. This is where God wants us to be! This is what Ezekiel was faced with in the valley of dry bones.
  • We need to be in the will of God because there is joy and peace in God's will.
  • In the text, the bones in the valley weren't together.
  • Only God knows.
  • No other power could put those bones back together but God!
  • God was talking about the children of Israel who were spiritually.
  • How are we responding to God's message today? Are we doers of God's Word? Are we even listening to God's Word?
  • As the wind blew, the bones came to life. Ezekiel 37:7-11
  • God's breath is powerful. Look to Him!
