Welcome to Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: Hebrews 10:24-25 - And let us consider on another to provoke unto love and to goo works:  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another and so much the more, a ye see the day approaching.

Subject: The Importance of Community

  • Have we lost our ability of community?
  • We have become disconnected from one another.
  • Community is important because it allows us to remain strong.
  • Christianity is not a walk alone journey.
  • Brothers and sisters walking together not walking alone.
  • The enemy loves for us to be in isolation.
  • Isolation weakens us so that the enemy can step in.
  • Community causes us to support one another, to love, to reach out to one another.
  • Everybody needs somebody.
  • Community tends to encourage us through difficult times.
  • In darker times we need one another.
  • Community offers words of encouragement, a song of praise, lending a helping hand, a spiritual support.
  • In natural disasters, a community that pulls together tends to rise above, in spirit, even in that crisis.
  • Do not forsake the community's power.
  • I need Thee every hour as the psalmist sang.
  • And we need one another as well.
  • Forward together, not one step back!
