January 5, 2025 - Happy New Year Everyone

Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Happy New Year Everyone

Matthew 5:14 - Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

Remember, light eliminates all forms of darkness. We, as Christians carry that light which is Jesus the Christ. Let's shine our lights everywhere we travel, to everyone we meet & at all times this year and always!

A kind word is always welcome!

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: Psalm 139:23-24 - O God, let the secrets of my heart be uncovered, and let my wandering thoughts be tested:  See if there is any way of sorrow in me, and be my guide in the eternal way.

Subject: How To Begin This New Year

  • James 4:14 - You do not know about tomorrow.  What is your life like? For you are a puff of smoke that appears for a short time and then vanishes.
  • Resolutions are always made this time of year.
  • We should always include, remember and consider Christ in our resolutions.
  • We must work while it's day for night comes when not man can work. John 9:4 -I must work the works of hm that sent me, while it is day: the night comes when no man can work.
  • We must invite the Holy Spirit to
  • John 14:26 - But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
  • John 15:5 - I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
  • 1 Samuel 13:14 - But now, your authority will not go on: the Lord, searching for a man who is pleasing to him in every way has given him the place of ruler over his people, because you have not done what the Lord gave you orders to do.
  • Three things David asked of God: (1) Search my heart of Lord. Proverb 4:23 - Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it; (2) Try me and know my thoughts my God:  1 Peter 1:7 - So that the true metal of your faith, being of much greater value than gold (which, though it comes to and end, is tested by fire), may come to light in praise and glory and honor, at the revelation of Jesus Christ.  (3) Lead me in the way everlasting of Lord. Proverbs 14:12 - There is a way which seems straight before a man, but its end is the ways of death.  John 16:13 - However, when he, the Spirit of true knowledge, has come, he will be your guide into all true knowledge: for his words will not come from himself, but whatever has come to his hearing, that he will say: and he will make clear to you the things to come.
