Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh
Prayer: Pastor Baggett
Scripture: Acts 2:42 - And they kept their attention fixed on the Apostles' teaching and were united together in the taking of broken bread and in prayer.
Subject: The Importance of Christian Fellowship
- We all need one another.
- The Holy Spirit had come upon all who were present.
- Why is Christian fellowship so important?
- Fellowship makes us stronger. It is nourishment for our souls.
- God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
- Matthew 18:19 - Where two or three gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
- Fellowship provides encouragement.
- Fellowship reminds us that we are not alone.
- Jesus said that he would never leave us or forsake us. Hebrews 13:5
- Fellowship helps us to grow.
- We need the meat of the Word as we have grown from the milk.
- We need to put on the Whole Armor of God as we face each day. Ephesians 6:13
- 1 Corinthians 14:26 - What is it then, my brothers? when you come together everyone has a holy song, or a revelation, or a tongue, or is giving the sense of it. Let everything be done for the common good.
- Fellowship with one another gives us and the world, a picture of who God is. In other words, we must be "love" in action.
- As we fellowship in Christian love, we show the world the glory of God.
