Greetings from Brown Chape/Avant & Mt. Pleasant
Reminder: Brown Chapel's Homecoming is
October 8, 2023 at 11AM - Lunch served directly after service.
Prayer: Pastor Baggett
Scripture: 1 John 4:1-4 - Beloved believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Subject: Greater Is He That Is In You, Than He That Is In The World
- Hosea 4:6 - Destruction has overtaken my people because they have no knowledge.
- People are sometimes lead astray.
- A lack of knowledge will lead to destruction.
- Christian's salvation is assured.
- Don't be fooled by false prophets.
- Are you listening to something that sounds good? Don't be fooled.
- When the Word of God is denied by churches, their foundation crumbles and falls away from God.
- Some spirits are not of God, so beware; be on your guard; be discerning.
- We must study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
- Matthew 24:5 - For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
- Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and yours minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:5-7
- Christians guard your hearts and mines and lead on the Lord.
