Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant & Mt. Pleasant

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: Mark 2:1-4 - And when he entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was noised that he was in the house.  And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room for them, no, not even about the door: and he spoke the word unto them.  And they come, bringing unto him a man sick of the palsy, borne of four.  And when they could not come nigh unto him for the crowd, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed whereon the sick of the palsy lay.

Subject: When the Devil Blocks the Door, We Can Go Through the Roof

  • Jesus had quite a following.
  • The paralyzed man really needed to see Jesus.
  • When his friends couldn't get him thru the door, they tore open the roof and lowered him in.
  • When Jesus saw the palsy man, Jesus said, "Son, thy sins are forgiven."
  • Do we have doors that are blocked? We know that it is Satan's mission to block us from God and the word of God.
  • God breaks every chain.
  • Don't let Satan mess up your blessing, your peace, your prayer time.
  • 1 Corinthian 10:13 - There has no temptation taken you but such as man can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
