Welcome From Brown Chapel/Avant & Mt. Pleasant
Prayer: Rev. Pelton
Scripture: Habakkuk 1:2-4 - O Lord, how long shall I cry, and you will not hear! even cry out unto you of violence, and you will not save! Why do you show me iniquity and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention. Therefore, the law is slacked, and judgment does never go forth: for the wicked does compass about the righteous; therefore, wrong judgment is perverted.
Subject: Lord, How Long?!
- Violence was everywhere and the laws of the land were not being enforced.
- We, too, seem to be living in that type of era.
- 2 Timothy 3:1-5 - Know this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, opposed to what is good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, loving pleasure rather than loving God. They will maintain the outward appearance of religion but will have repudiated its power. So avoid people like these.
- Can we handle the truth?
- God's ways are not our ways.
- God never explains Himself but he does have a plan for us.
- We will understand it better by and by.
- The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life. Romans 6:23
