Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant, Shiloh
and Mt. Pleasant Baptist

Prayer: Rev. Pelton
Scripture: Acts 5:29 - Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, "We ought to obey God rather than men."
Subject: Obeying God
  • God is the author and finisher of our faith
  • (1) Give God all the praise. Psalm 50:14 - Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High.
  • Psalm 34:1 - David said, "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall be continually in my mouth."
  • (2) Believe the promises of God. Deuteronomy 31:6 - He will never leave us nor forsake us.
  • (3) We should enjoy the peace our God has given unto us. John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
  • (4) We must yield to the purpose of GodLuke 22:42 - "Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not my will but thine be done."
  • We pray for our leaders to be compassionate.
  • Our duty is to obey God rather than man.
