Scripture: Matthew 27:20-23 - But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.  The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said Barabbas.  Pilate said unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?  They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.  And the governor said, Why, what evil has he done?  But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

Subject: Jesus or Barabbas

• The Rose Sunday. This particular Sunday is referred to as - a day to rejoice.
• Jesus was not the one that the crowd wanted. They thought he wasn't strong enough.
• We should try the spirit by the spirit. 1 John 4:1
• What does this mean? We should evaluate things by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
• We are to separate the truth from lies; good from bad; etc.
• The crowd thought that Barabbas could save them. But only Jesus can safe.
• Which spirit are we choosing today? The spirit of Jesus or Barabbas?!
• Jesus the Christ is the one who has all power.
• Have we chosen hatred over love; meanness over compassion?!
• Choose Jesus over Barabbas.
