Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 - For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Subject: How To Concur Our Strongholds

  • We are of the flesh but the war is spiritual
  • Our weapons come from God.
  • We must be obedient to Christ.
  • Be careful of what we say and do.
  • Proverbs 23:7 - What a man thinks in his heart, so is he.
  • Don't be gaslighted by anyone.
  • Gaslighting - manipulating using psychological methods into questioning their own sanity or powers of reasoning.
  • The world's problems have many gaslighting situations. We must be discerning in all situations, staying on the path of Christ.
  • Foothold - a strong position from which further advances or progress may be made.
  • Ephesians 4:26-27 - Be angry without doing wrong; let not the sun go down on your wrath; and do not give way to the Evil One.
  • A foothold can easily be a stronghold.
  • We must resist temptations, false facts, etc.
  • We shall know the truth and the truth shall make us free. John 8:32
  • All to Jesus we must surrender.
  • Stay in the Word and pray to God for understanding.
