Scripture: 1 Peter 2:9-10 - But you are a special people, a holy nation, priests and kings, a people given up completely to God, so that you may make clear the virtues of him who took you out of the dark into the light of heaven.  In the past you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; then there was no mercy for you, but now mercy has been given to you.

Subject: The Shift

• A shift is a slight change in direction.
• In this chapter verse 9, we see that the people are a chosen generation that is obedient.
• Exodus 19:5 - Now therefore, if you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine.
• We must take the road less traveled.
• We must understand that not "my" will, but God's will be done!
• Be careful of information overload. Don't get caught up with today's news & gossip.
• We must stay in the Word of God.
• We must shift away from the influence of Satan.
• We must follow Jesus on his path. We are a work in progress.
• The Potter is still molding us in His image.
