Welcome from Brown Chaple/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh
Prayer: Pastor Baggett
Scripture: Psalm 46:1-11 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
5God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
8Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
11The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
Subject: Be Still & Know That I Am God
- Have you ever found yourself multitasking?
- Have you ever been in such a hurry at the grocery store that you play the guessing game of which check-out line is the quickest?
- There are so many things going on in your lives today, on the news, in our neighborhood, losing our health care, etc.
- Be still!
- God is with us even through all the chaos.
- To be still doesn't mean we are to be completely motionless.
- Raphah - to let go, to relax.
- Psalm 62:5 - My soul, put all your faith in God; for from him comes my hope.
- Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6
- We must be strong in God's word.
- Peace be still!
