Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant, Mt. Pleasant & Shiloh

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: John 14:1-6 - Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will ome again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way you know. Thomas said unto him, Lord,  we know not whither thou goes; and how can we know the way? Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.

Subject: Our Cure for Troubled Hearts

  • Matthew 24:6-13 - 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
  • We know that there are going to be troubles until the end times.

  • Jesus says to trust in him.
  • We must have faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
  • Jesus has already paid it all.
  • Be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2
  • Don't get confused or distracted.
  • So our cure for troubled hearts is to believe in God and remember that Jesus is the way and that He has already paved our way to God by his sacrifice on the cross. And Jesus has left us with a comforter, the Holy Spirit.
