Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant & Mt. Pleasant

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: Deuteronomy 2:1-7Wanderings in the Wilderness

Then we turned back and set out toward the wilderness along the route to the Red Sea, as the Lord had directed me. For a long time we made our way around the hill country of Seir.

Then the Lord said to me, “You have made your way around this hill country long enough; now turn north. Give the people these orders: ‘You are about to pass through the territory of your relatives the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. They will be afraid of you, but be very careful. Do not provoke them to war, for I will not give you any of their land, not even enough to put your foot on. I have given Esau the hill country of Seir as his own. You are to pay them in silver for the food you eat and the water you drink.’”

The Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything.

Subject: Are You Feeling the Move of God. It's Time for a Change

  • With all the things going on in our world today, sometimes we wonder.... How long?
  • Fret not for evildoers, neither be envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and verily you shall be fed.  Psalm 37:1-25
  • Are we ready to get out of the cycle of depression, destruction, disappointment, etc.
  • God said that it's time for a change, a turnaround, if you will.
  •   In Jesus, we can find peace and rest.
  • God can move and turn situations around.
  • We need to start heading in the right direction.
  • God wants us as Christians to press towards the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14
  • We are not to have one body but two faces.
  • What happens when people fear you? They will attack you.
  • God blessed the children of Israel with many things: (1) God's favor; (2) God knew all about them as they wondered in the wilderness and didn't leave them nor forsake them.
  • Remember, our God is able.
  • I once was young and now am old, yet never have I seen the righteous forsaken. Psalm 37:25
