Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant & Mt. Pleasant

Prayer: Pastor Baggett

Scripture: 2 Kings 20:1-7 -In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus said the Lord, Set thine house in order; for thou shall die and not live.  Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying, I beseech thee, O Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight. And Hezekiah wept sorely. And it came to pass, before Isaiah was gone out into the middle part of the city, that the word of the Lord came to him saying, Turn back and say to Hezekiah the prince of my people, Thus said the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard your prayer, I have see your tears: behold, I will heal you; on the third day thou shall go up unto the house of the Lord. And I will add unto you days fifteen years; and I will deliver you this city of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.  And Isaiah said, take a cake of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

Subject: Our Condition Is Not Our Conclusion

  • Condition - situation
  • We want to move from our condition to God's conclusion.
  • We need to understand our condition; Praying in the midst of our condition; & we should have an expectation to God.
  • Isaiah 48:3 - I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I showed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
  • The battle is already won
  • Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, said the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
  • Isaiah 54:17 - Mp weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness which is of me, said the Lord.
  • 2 Corinthians 12:9 - And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
  • Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
