Annual Conference - Friday Services

Rev. Prim read the "Minutes" for Wednesday and Thursday to the Conference.

Hertha Taylor waits for the next session to begin while visiting with Mrs. Wren who is a long time member of Metropolitan AME Church, Dallas, TX.

Rev. Dr. John Hunter of the First AME Church, Los Angeles, California, brought the noon message from
1 Samuel 17:33-39
"Don't Forfeit Your Spiritual Birthright"

  • We must assess ourselves often because we are always evolving.
  • It's never too late to be what you might have been.
  • Don't forfeit your gifts for outside gains.
  • God uses everybody from the least to the mighty.
  • David had Holy confidence from God.
  • David remembered what the Lord had done.
  • David beheaded and dis-armored the enemy. He placed the armor in his tent as a reminder of what he had accomplished with the power of God.

Rev. Mittie Muse, Jr. was ordained as an Elder. He was then able to serve his father, Rev. Mittie Muse, Sr., the Holy Communion.
