Welcome from Brown Chapel/Avant & Mt. Pleasant
Prayer: Pastor Baggett
Scripture: Psalm 27 1
7Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
10When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
11Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
13I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Subject: The Heart of a Warrior
- We know that we are on the battlefield for our Lord and we are soldiers in the army of the Lord.
- We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
- The physical heart is an organ that pumps blood, but the spiritual heart is our path to God.
- The enemy will always attempt to wage war against us. This is Satan's mission.
- We must be prepared for anything that comes our way. We must put on the whole armor of God.
- Be prepared with these precepts: We must focus on God: We must have full confidence in God's awesome power: We must practice fellowship with God: We must worship in the house of the Lord: We must seek God's face: We must live an upright life & please God.
- They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
- Prayer is always welcome in this Christian life.
