Sermon
Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Fther, Prince of Peace.
Subject: Jesus: God's Gift For All Our Needs!
  • To God be the glory
  • God be magnified
  • Christmas is a time for family and good eats!!
  • For Christians, Christmas is a time to exalt Jesus.
  • Wonderful Counsellor - He is exceptional, distinguished, and without peer, the one who gives the right advice.
  • Mighty God - He is God Himself.
  • Everlasting Father - He is timeless; He is God our Father
  • Prince of Peace - His government is one of justice and peace.
  • Jesus meets us in our darkness and brings us into His marvelous light.
  • Jesus is the light of the world.
  • Many are walking in moral darkness but finding Jesus will allow them to see the light.
  • There is nothing hidden that won't come to the light.
  • Read Isaiah 5 - all the bad things going on and how the Lord deals with them.
  • Darkness is all around us but God is still in control.
  • Matthew 13:30 - Let the wheat and the weeds both grow together until harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: .......
  • Matthew 6:33 - Seek you first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
  • John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
  • Jesus is God's answer to our needs.
  • Jesus meets us where we are and He will give us rest.
  • Jesus isn't ordinary!!
  • Philippians 2:7 - but laid aside His mighty power and glory, taking the disguise of a slave and becoming like men. And He humbled Himself even further, going so far as.....
