Sunday School Brief: Romans Chapter 15
Living to Please Others
Don't think only of your own good...think of other Christians and what is best for them.
Share each other's troubles and problems and in this way obey the law of Chirst.
Paul says, "I'm not trying to be a people pleaser....No, I am trying to please God.
In other words, whose approval are we seeking? Others' or God's?
Those who insult you also insult me.
Our patience and encouragement helps us to live in complete harmony with one another.
We need to diligently read our Bibles so we may have confidence that God's will is best for us. Each with the attitude of Christ Jesus toward the other.
As we grow in faith and come to know Jesus better, we will become more capable of maintaining the attitude of loving unity each day. Christ's attitude explained in detail in Philippians 2:1-30, states the "joy" in serving; unity through humility and shining brightly for Christ.
Remember that Christ came as a servant to the Jews to show that God is true to the promises He made to their ancestors.
Christ suffered and died for our sins. He died but rose from the dead with all power and now He faithfully intercedes for us.
Romans 15:33 - May God, who gives us His peace, be with us all. Amen.
Sermon - Matthew 11:26-30
Brief:
The Jesus said,
"Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light."
